Assalammualaikum Wr. Wb.

Good morning the honorable juries.

Good morning ladies and gentlemen.

First, give thanks to God, because of His blessing and mercy, we can be here together and enjoy the beautiful morning today. Well, on this occasion, I want to give a speech with the title “Be Glory The Youth of Indonesia”.

We are the youth of Indonesia

Confess to be one nation, Indonesian nation

We are the youth of Indonesia

Confess to speak one language, Indonesian language

We are the youth of Indonesia

Confess to be one motherland, Indonesian motherland

Ladies and Gentlemen

That is the oath that made and spoken by Indonesian youth that fight bravely for Indonesian unity in Kongres Pemuda, which led by Bung Tomo and his friends with a warrior spirit. They confess that they have one nation although there are many different ethnic group, cultures, religion, language, and skin color in our beloved country, Indonesia.

They want this deference would not be an obstacle to unity, but instead to be a starting point in going along with stating the determination and spirit to build this country.

Well, we as the youth of Indonesia, have the duty to continue to inherit and preserve their struggle. How can we do this?

Develop and increase our potential, both natural resources and the human resources maximally. The one who are interested and have the artistic talent, come on optimize our talent by exercising and practicing it continually. Who are interested and have a talent of diplomacy or politics, come on optimize our talent by following youth organizations that exist in Indonesia, as the organizations Indonesian Youth National Committee (KNPI) which conduct the activities to encourage the youth to be intelligent, creative, innovative, have high dedication, and can apply the era development dynamic. In the economic field we must take advantage of existing opportunities around us to create business employment. For example the use of recycle things, such as used plastic bottle packaging, with our creativity and a touch art, we can make it to be a beautiful flower decoration, even be commercial value things.

Rag/patchwork that stitched, we can also create a antique bag. And tin cans can be moneybox or a pencil case, and so forth.
      Culturally too, let us preserve with the way know more of Indonesia cultures which rich of diversity. Like the dance, such as Pendet dance, traditional songs, such Gundul-Gundul Pacul and Yamko Rambe Yamko, and play a musical instrument called a single guitar. The goal is to protect the Indonesia culture and arts, so remains sustainable until the national level even inernasional level.
      In Indonesia area also has natural Resources that abundant, one of which is coal mining. To continue to produce, required manpower that can manage the mine well. Therefore, optimize the ability of Indonesian youth to managing their natural region. Don’t let foreigners control our land, use of indigenous assets that owned by our nation.

Ladies and Gentlemen

Basically, if there is a will there is a way.

We start from our own, from small things that we have, and start from now. We optimize the potential of our human resources and the resources that exists around us, so we can be a smart youth, that have creativity, innovation, independence, and always feel lack of knowledge. So that, we as youth will not crushed by the rapid growth on the modern and globalization era today.
